The first ever Oulu-based heavy metal band to end up on record. The young group got
signed after winning a band contest that was recorded and released ("Heavy Metal &
Live" LP) in late '81. From the NWOBHM influenced sounds of the first albums the band
eaded for a harsher sound.
The third album "Give the Dead Man Some Water" was
one of the rawest and loudest Finnish metal releases back in the day and the said album
is one of the records where one Ms. Kaija Koo handled backing vocals before becoming
the best selling female pop star in Finland in the early '90s.
Vocalist Immu left Riff Raff
after the third album and was replaced by Esa Eloranta (later of Garbo fame) for
a short period of time but eventually the band faded away without any further releases.
Drummer Esa Palosaari continued playing drums in Kirka and Albert Järvinen's bands.
In '91 he recorded an album with Jackflash where he handled the vocals. Bass player
Kessler has also played in Faff-Bey.

These days a full-blown grindcore act that started out as a side-project of guitarist Mika Aalto of death metallers
Vomiturition. Vocalist Keijo Bagge followed suit and soon enough Vomit was fully replaced by Rot, so to speak.
Ultra speed and mega-ferocity have always been Rotten Sound's line of business. The immense powerhouse drumming
of Kai Hahto adds the final oomph. Hahto has also played in Cartilage and, using the ominous pseudonym Caer Hallam
Generis, in Enochian Crescent, and also done session work for France's Agressor ("Medieval Rites").
