Formed in '92, this trio from Naantali were one of the many Finnish bands to have followed Xysma's footsteps from Carcass-like deathgrind to out'n'out grooviness, in this case incorporating hard rocking riffs, wah-wah guitar, and melodic atmospherics among other things, not to mention a sense of humour. The band called their music "pink metal" at some point, and the name Pakeni is a shoddy Finnish pun on Carcass - the word 'carcass' sounds like the past tense form of the Finnish verb 'to escape', and 'pakeni' is a synonym for that... never mind. Guitarist/vocalist Anton Kupias joined Disgrace after their "Superhuman Dome" album.

Good power/speed metal with hooks from Raahe. Well played and good prodcution. The vocals are the weakest link here but still notably better than with some more known acts operating in the same playgorund. Clear and sometimes lamenting.
Kari Nylander of Zen Cafe fame played in the band at some point but he's not listed in the line-up on this one and only record.

Originally formed back in '76 but major success didn't come until '84 when the band won the Finnish Rock
Championship competition. This hard rocking boogie-based power trio are known as Kouvola's Motörhead.
Peer Günt haven't had a single line-up change in over 20 years and the band is still alive and kicking.
Twist Twist Erkinharju has also played in Leningrad Cowboys.

Founded in August 1987, this Tampere-based foursome thrashed with a light-hearted
attitude, writing songs about gnomes, naughty skateboarding grannies, and meaningful
relationships with inflatable love dolls.
Disbanded after their third full-length and
guitarist Jan "Örkki" Yrlund went on to continental goth/black metal fame playing with
Lacrimosa and Ancient Rites.
Vocalist/bass player Aku Kytölä has played in a Bad Religion
cover band Paha Uskonto and Kill Me Gently.
These two above mentioned distinguished gentlemen also
took part in Heppihirviö, a punk rock project.

Ultra-speed thrash merchants from the capital area who remained
clinically unsigned till the bitter end. Apart from the
7" EP's they released a series of frantic demo tapes and one "cassette
album" entitled "Festering Fairytales" ('90).
Ex-Dirty Damage vocalist Rytkönen became an important
fixture for the band (they had a different vocalist on their first tape),
with his fuck-shit-up style complementing the band's Sadus/
Assassin-style high velocity efforts. Drummer Erkki
Virta has also made three punk albums with L.A.M.F.
and is currently involved in Nevergreen with two other
former members of Protected Illusion.
