Prog metal weirdos from Söörmarkku/Pori. For some unfathomable reason Colombian metal baron Bull
Metal (ex-Masacre) signed them on his label Warmaster. Shortened the moniker to the more politically
correct F, recorded a self-financed CD and disappeared. Bass player Jukka Sillanpää also played in
Sceptical Schizo/Lavra and later in As Divine Grace. Guitarist/vocalist Jussi Saivo teamed up
with Jarkko Toivonen (ex-Unholy) under the banner Tiermes, sound and mind expansion adventures.

Self-proclaimed "saw rock messiahs" from Oulu - more hardcore-inspired in the beginning, then developing into a
sort of warped thrash metal band. Guitarist/vocalist Maike has spent time with hardcore superstars
Terveet Kädet and is currently also in The Black League.

Finland's Deep Purple hailing from Tampere. After the debut CD the band parted ways with vocalist Pete
and his replacement Kai "Kuju" Hyttinen was found from Baby Green. Ever since there has been a lot
of traffic behind the drums and the keyboards but the band still exists - sort of. They haven't made any
records and they call themselves Cream Crackers and concentrate on playing Deep Purple covers
instead of their own songs. Keyboard wizard Tumppu who played on all the Feedback records is
nowadays one of the three hosting pianists in the immensely popular Saturday night prime time TV show "Bumtsi Bum".

Flounder
|
|
Avantgarde thrashing foursome from Tampere/Ylöjärvi who stirred the underground with demo
tapes that were chockfull of complex-for-complexity's-sake compositions. Before the Flounder years
a couple of the members actually recorded an album with their teen-pop band Jam Jam.
The belated Flounder CD release no longer featured the original line-up. Timo Väänänen (vocals/guitars)
had already left the band in favour of his dance music projects and later on found himself in Finnish gothic
rockers Two Witches. After Flounder ceased to exist for good drummer Juppo joined Feedback and
Convulse for a while and bass player Tenze joined a pop group called Super who supposedly got some
recognition in Japan. Guitarist Aki Yli-Salomäki has dabbled in prog/jazz fusion, making at least one solo effort.
The session vocalist on the Flounder CD was Petri from the Parkano-based techno thrashers Tetragon who
unfortunately never made it on record.

Alongside with Abhorrence these splatter freaks from Turku were Finland's first real death metal band.
Whatever they lost in nuances they more than made up for in rawness and brutality. Two tracks from
their five track debut demo were pressed on vinyl and after the second demo the band was picked
up by Spinefarm who were taking their first steps in the record releasing business. The debut album
was recorded but the band was already dead, buried and consumed by maggots when the record saw the dark of night.
