Inside an extremely bland xeroxed sleeve hides more than a decent record. Nice melodic songs in the Scandinavian aor / hard rock fashion, ok production and backing vocals by Richard G. Johnson (Gringos Locos).
Angel's Song/Hard Time (ps)
Lien On My Soul//Rid Of Me/Take It More (ps)
Hard rock band featuring the former Riff Raff drummer Esa Palosaari on vocals. Guitarist
Petteri Hirvanen is familiar from Annica's album and in '97 mastered Project Forever
that featured Richard Johnson (ex-Gringos Locos) on vocals.
RUN FOR THE MONEY
Melodic hard rock spiced with some southern rock.
HERE I AM
Badass heavy boogie from Lahti in the vein of Peer Günt.
Hard and Loaded/Sister (ps)
A fivesome from Turenki delivering contemporary aggressive metal. After the debut
MCD the band extended their name to Jane Doe 69.
Some sort of a question mark has to be added along with the inclusion of this Nokia based band here.
Their covers are sure to get your attention but...
The A-side of the '89 7" is rock alright but nothing hard about it. The flipside
on the other hand is a decent hard rocker which is nice. Unfotunately the '90 7" again falls more
into regular rock category with blues hints. Actually the group released their first 7" under the name
d'Arc back in 1986 but haven't hear it.
Shadowman / Let Me Know (ps)
Raison d'Etre / Animal Drive (ps)
Stoner rock from Helsinki.
[V/A] SUOMI FINLAND PERKELE - HOW TO UNDERSTAND FINLAND!? LESSON 1
American brand of Hard Rock without keyboards, produced by Hannu Leiden (Sarcofagus, Leroy and Havana Black). Vocalist/guitarist Rexa used to play in Dawson in the early '80s.
Killers/Feels Like Hell (ps)
Crazy Horses/They Believe in Magic (ps)
I'm on Fire/Hit the Road (ps)
Melodic American type of hard rock.
THE JONE'S BROS
Solid heavy rocker with mediocre vocals.
Never Stop / There's Just Ice in ther Hearts (ps)
Albert Järvinen Band
Albert Järvinen (R.I.P) - the former guitarist of the Finnish rock'n'roll legends Hurriganes who has recorded
several rock albums with various line-ups but this, the only recording of Albert Järvinen Band,
is the only one of them that can be labelled hard rock. The thing that makes the record truly interesting
is the fact that the vocalist is no other than Lemmy Kilmister who has also produced the material.
Another truly hard rocking effort of Albert Järvinen is Flashbacksliders, a collaboration with biker
rockers the Backsliders. In addition he played a guitar solo on the debut album of Hiroshima.
